Group Senior Buyer - Fleet - £53,000 to £63,000 | Envious full corporate benefits | REMOTE role with monthly visits to sites in the UK | A global FTSE 100 Professional Services business

This is an incredible opportunity for someone to join a market leading, truly global business with diverse operations.

They are seeking an experienced Fleet Category Specialist to oversee the category across the UK, and potentially Europe in the future.

To be considered, you MUST have specialist Fleet category experience, managing various vehicles weighing from 1.5 to 4 tonnes, with specifications depending on the business arm.

The group function is undergoing an exciting transformation, expanding its scope with ongoing opportunities for progression.

Role and responsibilities:

• Report to the Head of Global Procurement within a team of colleagues at various levels
• Develop, design, and improve category strategies
• Conduct end-to-end sourcing within designated spend areas using strategic approaches
• Collaborate with senior business leaders to develop category strategies and planning
• Provide ongoing advice to stakeholders on market trends, innovations, and supplier market insights
• Manage complex projects, both regulated and unregulated
• Ensure strategic procurement delivers the best commercial value for the business

Experience required:

• Extensive Fleet category expertise, being a subject matter expert
• Proven strategic category management experience in a large, complex business
• Experience working in a large, global, and matrix organization
• Track record of delivering savings in a sizable business
• Ability to engage, negotiate, and influence senior stakeholders up to Board level
• Strong stakeholder management skills, adaptable to different relationship types and maturities
• Experience in a large, cross-functional procurement team
• MCIPS qualification is desirable but not essential
