We are looking for a Category Manager Procurement who can join us.
This is a hybrid role with a requirement to be in the Bristol office as needed, with flexibility to work from home.
Key Purpose
- Oversee the delivery of Ayvens UK procurement strategy (core categories*) by building strong partnerships with business stakeholders and suppliers to deliver excellent outcomes, including consistent service, commercial synergies, responsible practices, and low business risk.
- Develop a collaborative 'centre of excellence' where Procurement supports group goals and offers a shared service across the business.
- Support the integration of Ayvens Procurement in the UK by embedding robust policies, processes, and best practices.
Summary of Responsibilities
- Own the sourcing strategy for assigned core procurement categories, ensuring supply is consistent and delivers value, aligning with stakeholder needs.
- Collaborate with the group to ensure categories are underpinned by robust planning and forecasting to maximize synergies, rebates, and bonuses.
- Manage contracts diligently throughout their lifecycle, with support for wider contracting and commercial reviews.
- Maintain industry awareness of trends and share insights across the organization.
- Develop a 'shared service' model to provide an attentive UK procurement service, leveraging local policies and group expertise.
- Support management in specific projects or integration initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with risk and governance principles, implementing effective supervision controls.
Skills, Experience & Background
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Procurement or supply chain management experience, with negotiation and influencing skills
- Strategic thinking and business planning capabilities
- Financial acumen and commercial awareness
- Experience in change management and continuous improvement
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools
- Self-starter with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
- Team player and autonomous worker
- Relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, or operational management, degree or qualifications desirable
- Understanding of automotive or leasing sectors preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
