Based with a Global Medical Technology leader, the Category Lead role is a strategic Procurement position focused on coordinating and managing Global R&D procurement and sourcing needs.

You will be responsible for:

1. Ensuring a lean strategy and approach regarding supplier management, primarily focused on an R&D CDMO supply base.
2. Identifying the most suitable suppliers for regional and global business needs and supporting the addition of new suppliers to the approved supplier list.
3. Delivering the sourcing strategy, developing relevant contracting frameworks, and managing live agreements.
4. Drafting and managing contracts and change orders, generating RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs as required.

Applicants should demonstrate solid procurement experience, preferably with additional experience in a CDMO or CMO environment.

Other key skills and requirements include:

1. Category management and sourcing experience, with evidence of achieving cost savings and transformations through category strategies.
2. Excellent communication skills, confident in working with external suppliers, senior management, and key stakeholders.
3. Industry experience in a similar role, ideally with a university degree or equivalent qualification.
