Amcogiffen is seeking an experienced Buyer to join its central procurement team in the UK. You will source, negotiate, and place orders, supporting frameworks and cost-saving initiatives while building strong supplier relationships across rail and civil engineering projects.

You will contribute to supplier performance reviews, data analysis, and compliance, helping to deliver value on critical UK contracts and site-based activities.

Qualificações

• Previous purchasing experience within Rail/Civil Engineering environments.
• Strong negotiation skills to drive cost efficiencies.
• Ability to process data and assess supplier performance.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and computer proficiency.
• CIPS accreditation or working towards it.

Responsabilidades

• Sourcing & Negotiation: review requisitions, negotiate contracts, place orders per procedures.
• Strategic Procurement: support frameworks, trading agreements, cost-saving initiatives.
• Supplier Engagement: run meetings, gather feedback, conduct 360-degree reviews.
• Process Improvement: mentor junior staff and handle amendments and invoices.
• Compliance & Oversight: authorise orders within delegated authority, ensure best practices.
• Analysis & Reporting: monitor supplier performance and provide insights for strategy.
• Site & Contract Support: visit sites and review subcontract orders.
