Job summary

Bunzl UK Limited offers an L3 Procurement and Supply Assistant Apprenticeship, delivering hands-on purchasing experience within a major distribution and services group across the UK and Ireland.

You will support the Purchasing Manager, liaise with suppliers, and help drive cost efficiencies while gaining the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply Level 3 Advanced Certificate. Career progression is available on successful completion.

Qualifications

• GCSE English at least grade 4 and GCSE Maths at least grade 4.
• Strong communication and numerical fundamentals are required.
• Good IT and organisational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Purchasing Manager with day-to-day purchasing of goods and services.
• Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotations, product specifications and pricing.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier information in the procurement system.
• Assist with supplier performance monitoring including quality, delivery and service levels.
• Assist in market research to identify new suppliers, products and cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare reports and analyse purchasing data to support informed decision-making.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Services, Finance, Operations and other departments.
• Collaborate with Bunzl stakeholders in other operating divisions.
• Ensure purchasing activities comply with policies, contractual agreements and legislation.
• Support sustainability and value-for-money initiatives within procurement.
• Undertake any other administrative or procurement-related duties.
