Job summary

VolkerWessels UK Ltd in Hoddesdon is offering a Level 4 Procurement Apprenticeship, aligned with a CIPS Diploma. You will support the Procurement team while working toward a recognised qualification, gaining hands-on experience across functions.

The role covers day-to-day activities, site liaison, quotations, reporting, and secondments; training and mentoring are provided, with opportunities to progress into bid coordination or wider commercial roles.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent communication skills to develop relationships at all levels.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Maths and English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Liaising with site teams, promoting our preferred supply chain agreements.
• Requesting and analysing quotations and historical spend data.
• Preparing management reports and information.
• Supporting other procurement teams through short-term secondments.
• Visiting sites or suppliers to build collaborative relationships.
• Maintaining the approved vendor database.
• Participating in weekly team meetings and helping hit annual targets.
• Providing general administrative support and updating systems.
