Job Description

CMS2, a specialist equipment manufacturer supplying maritime atmosphere control systems and support services, has an exciting opportunity for a Procurement and Obsolescence Practitioner. This role involves managing and mitigating obsolescence risks in procurement to ensure the availability of critical components and materials. The role requires proactive planning, strategic sourcing, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to minimize obsolescence impact on production and operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supply Chain Management: Support procurement activities, manage projects, and expedite products to meet delivery targets.
  • Procurement Planning: Forecast needs, develop strategies, and manage budgets.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build relationships, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance.
  • Obsolescence Management: Identify at-risk components, develop mitigation strategies, and collaborate with engineering and production teams.
  • Inventory Management: Manage critical inventory levels and implement control processes.
  • Risk Management: Assess and mitigate procurement and obsolescence risks.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively on issues.
