Job summary

Orion Electrotech is seeking a highly organised Purchasing Administrator to join our electro-mechanical manufacturing team. You will raise purchase orders, manage supplier schedules and maintain ERP/MRP data to support production and customer delivery.

We require prior purchasing or supply-chain experience in manufacturing, strong Excel skills, and a proactive, team-oriented approach. This role offers training, a collaborative environment and real opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain roles.
• Manufacturing/electro-mechanical environment experience preferred.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Confident communicator with supplier relationships.
• ERP/MRP systems experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Raise and manage purchase orders for components, materials and services.
• Monitor supplier delivery schedules and expedite orders.
• Maintain purchasing, supplier and inventory data in ERP/MRP.
• Liaise with suppliers for quotes, lead times and delivery requirements.
• Support inventory management and minimise stock shortages.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Stores and Planning to ensure material availability.
• Assist with supplier performance monitoring and cost-saving initiatives.
• Resolve invoice, pricing and delivery discrepancies.
• Produce purchasing reports and support continuous improvement.
