The post holder is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient day-to-day administration of the function, providing administrative and project support to Procurement Officers, the Procurement Manager, and Heads of Department. They will act as a first point of contact for telephone and face-to-face enquiries with suppliers, utilising Atamis and other systems for managing procurement activity.

Main duties of the job

We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Administrator to join our team. The main duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing administrative support to Procurement Officers and the Procurement Manager, including retrieving contract quotes from various suppliers.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for enquiries from suppliers and internal customers, ensuring appropriate action or redirection.
  • Supporting project delivery in line with Atlas BFW Management Ltd project management methodologies.
  • Organising monthly contract meetings, including booking venues, notifying participants, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on actions.

Job responsibilities

Person Specification
Qualifications
  • GCSE Maths & English Grade C or above
  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration
  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
Experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good time management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience working in a reactive, high-pressure environment
  • Report writing and data collation experience
  • Experience in contract administration and database management
