Job summary

Be Personnel Ltd is supporting a client in Oban, Scotland, to recruit a full-time Fish Processing Operative at their Oban plant. The role includes processing and preparing salmon, cleaning and gutting, and maintaining hygiene in a fast-paced team environment.

Local transport is available from Oban, Appin and Fort William, with training provided to support new hires. Competitive hourly rate with overtime opportunities is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in production or manufacturing is desirable.
• Good attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be physically capable and flexible with hours.
• Be able to work as part of a team.

• Process and prepare salmon products for dispatch.

Job description

Our Client is a pioneer in farming superior quality Scottish Salmon which is reared egg to plate right here in Scotland. Opportunities are currently available at their Oban plant for fulltime Fish Processing Operative - with transport available to and from site from locations in and around the local area!

Benefits

• A competitive standard starting rate of £13.45 per hour and overtime at £20.18 per hour
• Weekly pay via agency
• Monday to Friday 0800 - 1630 or option for 4 days per week 10-hour shifts

Responsibilities

• Processing and preparing the salmon products for dispatch

Ideal Candidates

• Previous experience within a production or manufacturing environment is desirable although not essential where transferable skills apply
• Be able to work within a fast paced environment where attention to detail is key
• Have a degree of physical capability
• Have an excellent work ethic
• Be flexible with regards to approach and working hours
