Job summary

Samworth Brothers Limited in East Leake is seeking a Process Technologist to ensure new products are safe, legal and meet quality standards. You will run factory trials, track critical paths and help move concepts to full launch, shaping products that reach shelves.

The role values collaborative problem-solving, HACCP understanding and hands-on testing across chilled manufacturing or FMCG environments, with opportunities to grow through training and development.

Qualifications

• Food science background welcome; technical or food industry experience helpful.
• Experience in chilled manufacturing or FMCG is advantageous.
• Experience running or supporting factory trials.
• Knowledge of HACCP, specifications, raw materials and quality processes.
• Cross-functional experience in NPD, technical or production roles is useful.

Responsibilities

• Follow the critical path to launch new products on time.
• Run bakery or factory trials and make sure products work on the line.
• Gather key information such as microbiological, nutritional and sensory data.
• Ensure products meet food safety, legality and quality standards.
• Check new raw materials and raise concerns through HACCP if needed.
• Approve packaging artwork before launch.
