Job summary

Clarke Energy is seeking a Process Safety Engineer to support a range of sustainable energy projects across the UK and internationally. You will lead hazard analyses, risk assessments, and safety studies while collaborating with electrical, mechanical and project teams to ensure safe design, installation and operation.

You will develop safety documentation, drive continuous improvement in safety culture, and engage with clients and regulators to meet COMAH/ATEX and ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical/Process/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience leading HAZOP/LOPA and process safety assessments.
• Full UK/EU Driving Licence and eligibility to work in the UK.
• Experience in power generation, energy, oil & gas, or related industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead process safety activities across projects, including risk assessments.
• Develop safety documentation, SAPs, hazard classifications, and operating procedures.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to embed process safety in design.
• Support incident investigations and drive corrective actions.
• Engage clients and stakeholders to ensure safety compliance and best practices.
