Burrow Global is seeking an experienced Process Production Operator for a chemical manufacturing company located in Stratford, CT.
The Process Production Operator is responsible for fulfilling customer orders by ensuring proper packaging of chemical products, including milling, blending, and packaging to meet customer specifications in a safe and efficient manner. Candidates must be able to identify and troubleshoot production and quality issues as they arise.
Note to candidates: No Per diem or relocation assistance is available for this position. You must reside within driving distance of Stratford, CT.
Required Education / Experience:
- High School diploma or GED; Process Technology certification is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing and packaging chemical products in the petrochemical industry.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to work rotating shifts.
- Flexibility to adjust schedules and work additional hours as needed.
- Knowledge of production processes and Process Safety Management.
- Understanding of safety procedures for hazardous materials handling.
- Experience operating forklifts.
- Hands-on work ethic.
- Self-motivated, capable of performing high-quality work independently and following instructions.
- Ownership of responsibilities following training.
- Completion of "Miller Packer" orientation program.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately complete production records.
- Perform tasks safely, adhering to all safety rules and PPE requirements.
- Clean equipment as required.
- Package and transport finished products and containers appropriately.
- Report processing issues and equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
- Collect QC samples as needed.
- Perform confined space attendant/rescuer duties as required.
- Maintain dust collection and recycling of packaging materials.
- Package antioxidant materials as scheduled.
- Maintain central vacuum systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ensure customer packaging specifications are met.
- Maintain cleanliness of plant areas.
Safety and Environmental Responsibilities:
- Handle small spills of hazardous materials responsibly.
- Maintain good housekeeping and materials management practices.
Safety Management System Participation:
- Participate in CPR/AED/First Aid training.
- Perform confined space entry and rescue duties.
- Lead by example in safety practices, PPE use, and compliance.
- Report safety incidents and hazards.
- Participate in OSHA Process Safety Management activities.
