Job summary

All Square Recruitment is recruiting a Process Operator for a well-established glass processing and manufacturing business in Witham, Essex. This temp-to-perm role offers a clear progression path and development as you gain glass production expertise.

You will operate specialist machinery, follow strict quality and safety procedures, and participate in a structured training programme over the first nine months, working Monday to Friday, 6:00am–3:00pm.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
• Physically fit for manual work and standing for long periods.
• Reliable, with strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
• Flexible hours to meet customer demand.
• Strong teamwork and proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Operate specialist machinery to process and manufacture glass products to a high standard.
• Observe all quality systems and processes relevant to glass processing.
• Adhere to all health and safety systems and procedures.
• Carry out periodic housekeeping and machine maintenance according to schedules.
• Achieve output and productivity targets in line with production requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the production process.
• Support training and development of colleagues, sharing knowledge and best practice.
• Complete a structured skills training programme, including safe glass handling within the first two weeks, followed by primary, complementary, second, and third skills training over the following months.

About the Role

All Square Recruitment is excited to partner with a well-established glass processing and manufacturing business based in Witham, Essex, to recruit a dedicated Process Operator to join their production team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established manufacturer on a temp-to-perm basis, with a structured skills development pathway and genuine long-term progression as you build your expertise in glass production.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate specialist machinery to process and manufacture glass products to a high standard.


• Observe all quality systems and processes relevant to glass processing at all times.


• Adhere to all health and safety systems and procedures, maintaining a safe working environment.


• Carry out periodic housekeeping and machine maintenance activities in line with the company’s schedules, quality systems, and procedures.


• Achieve output and productivity targets in line with production requirements.


• Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the production process.


• Support the training and development of colleagues, sharing knowledge and best practice.


• Complete a structured skills training programme, including safe glass handling within the first two weeks, followed by primary, complementary, second, and third skills training over the following months.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.


• Physically fit, as the role involves manual work, occasional heavy lifting, and periods of standing.
