Job summary

Adecco Group UK & Ireland is seeking a Process Operator to join a facility in Aspatria. You will operate and monitor the Effluent Treatment Plant, perform routine maintenance, and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental procedures.

The role includes sampling, data recording, and liaising with contractors, with an on-call rota to cover operations outside standard hours. A permanent full-time position with development opportunities is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in process/manufacturing environments is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and make informed operational decisions.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rota.
• Comfortable using computer-based monitoring and reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the Effluent Treatment Plant and associated equipment.
• Carry out routine inspections and performance checks.
• Complete sampling and laboratory analysis testing.
• Record and maintain operational data and plant performance records.
• Identify faults and assist with maintenance and repair activities.
• Purchase and monitor stock levels of chemicals, consumables, and spare parts.
• Maintain housekeeping standards across the site.
• Work safely in line with Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and site stakeholders when required.
• Participate in an on-call rota.
