Job summary

Veolia in Aldridge is seeking a plant operator to run processing equipment, support waste treatment operations and operate site vehicles when trained. You will help maintain plant systems and promote environmental awareness across contractors and staff.

The role offers a 40-hour week, morning and afternoon shifts, and a competitive benefits package including leave, pension and health resources.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Operational knowledge of plant and equipment.
• IOSH health and safety knowledge preferred.
• Experience in manual handling roles.
• Desirable forklift or yellow plant licences.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant processing equipment such as mixing tanks, pumps, and control room systems.
• Carry out treatment of waste operations.
• Operate site vehicles when trained, including forklift trucks and loading equipment.
• Assist in maintenance of plant and equipment and processes.
• Promote environmental awareness among contractors, visitors and staff.
