Job summary

Safran Landing Systems in Gloucester is recruiting a Process Operative for a 6-month contract. The role involves preparing components and moving WIP through surface-finishing stages, loading ovens, and supporting multiple areas to keep production flowing. Shifts rotate every two weeks with late and night premiums.

The candidate should have manufacturing experience; aerospace experience is a plus, with a proactive, hands-on approach and strong teamwork. Safety and 5S are emphasised.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
• Aerospace experience is a bonus.
• Self-managed and reliable with hands-on approach; good communication and teamwork are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare components for surface-finishing processes (degreasing, masking, grit blasting).
• Move and organise WIP into correct processing areas.
• Load and unload ovens for stress-relief and de-embrittlement cycles, recording work.
• Support operators by ensuring parts are ready for each stage of the process line.
• Assist other areas such as NDT or wider manufacturing when required.
• Maintain high standards of safety, 5S and housekeeping across the workspace.

Morson Edge are recruiting a Process Operative to join Safran Landing Systems in Gloucester on an initial 6 month contract. Safran Landing Systems is a global leader in aircraft landing gear and braking systems, supporting commercial, business and military aviation. The Process Operative will help keep production running smoothly.

Candidates must be prepared to work the following shifts which alternates every 2 weeks, the late and night shifts are paid at a higher rate

07.30 - 16.00 Monday - Thursday, 12.00 Friday

16.00 - 22.00 Monday - Thursday 1200 - 2200 Friday

22.00 - 07.30 Mon – Thursday (no Friday)

The role involves but is not limited to the following:

• Preparing components for surface‑finishing processes (degreasing, masking, grit blasting).
• Moving and organising WIP into the correct processing areas.
• Loading and unloading ovens for stress‑relief and de‑embrittlement cycles, including recording work.
• Supporting operators by ensuring parts are ready for each stage of the process line.
• Helping other areas such as NDT or wider manufacturing when required.
• Maintaining high standards of safety, 5S and housekeeping across the workspace.
