Process Improvement Manager

We are seeking a Process Improvement Manager for a machinery manufacturing company based in Hook, Basingstoke. As the Test and Commissioning Manager, you will oversee the implementation of manufacturing improvements, working collaboratively across departments to ensure excellence and best practices.

Job Overview
  • Maintain open communication with managers, staff, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Oversee monthly production schedules, aligning with customer deadlines to improve lead time accuracy.
  • Ensure team members stay updated with products and technical knowledge.
  • Implement and maintain effective processes and procedures within your area of responsibility.
  • Promote reporting of non-conformance and near-misses, leading root cause analysis when needed.
  • Support and develop team members to reach their full potential.
  • Delegate tasks effectively while maintaining overall responsibility.
  • Continuously assess and improve team efficiency.
  • Manage daily operations, maintaining high safety and manufacturing standards.
  • Conduct performance appraisals, provide feedback, and address performance concerns proactively.
  • Communicate objectives, expectations, and strategic goals clearly to the team.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to engage stakeholders across departments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
  • Experience in driving process improvements and managing change.
  • Proficiency in conflict resolution and negotiation.
  • LEAN methodology experience.
Salary & Benefits

Salary dependent on experience, likely £40k-£43k.

Benefits include free lunch, holiday entitlement, a non-contractual bonus (equivalent to 1 month's salary), and a 3-day Christmas shutdown. Working hours are 40 hours per week.
