Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear is seeking a Process Engineering Manager to provide leadership across complex engineering programmes and guide projects from concept and design through to delivery and commissioning.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate engineering activities through the full lifecycle, and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The role offers hybrid working with three days per week on site at Warrington or Preston.

Qualifications

• Degree in Process/Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards registration.
• Ability to obtain SC security clearance.

Job description

As a Process Engineering Manager, you'll provide leadership across complex engineering programmes, guiding projects from concept and design through to delivery and commissioning. Day-to-day, you'll be required to:

Key responsibilities

• Leading and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
• Managing engineering activities throughout the full project lifecycle, from concept design through to construction and delivery.
• Collaborating with customers, stakeholders, and project teams to resolve complex technical and delivery challenges.
• Ensuring engineering outputs comply with quality, safety, regulatory, and technical assurance requirements.
• Developing engineering capability through mentoring, resource planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex process-led projects.
• Strong background within chemical, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, oil and gas, or similarly regulated industries.
• Experience managing engineering projects through the full lifecycle from concept and design to commissioning and delivery.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence across multiple disciplines.
• Experience applying engineering governance, safety, quality, and technical assurance standards within complex environments.

This is a full-time role based at either our Warrington or Preston site. Hybrid working patterns are available with an expectation of three days per week on site.

Qualifications

• Degree, or equivalent qualification, in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards professional registration.
