Job summary

Kier Group plc. is seeking a Process Engineer to join the Maple Lodge Sewage Treatment Works upgrade led by Thames Water. You will contribute to a major infrastructure program that expands capacity and resilience, delivering safe, compliant process solutions.

You’ll develop and review process designs, produce models and mass balances, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure systems are ready for construction, commissioning and operation. Degree required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or related discipline.
• Working towards Chartered or Incorporated status or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes.
• Experience in process design for wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Collaborative with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review process designs that are safe, efficient, buildable and aligned with legislation, industry standards and client expectations.
• Use site performance insight to identify risks, shape mitigation plans and support strong programme, quality and operational outcomes.
• Produce and review models, mass balances, control philosophies, technical reports and design documentation.
• Work across disciplines to ensure process solutions are fully integrated, coordinated and ready for construction, commissioning and operation.
• Collaborate with engineers, specialists, operators, construction teams and the client to develop solutions that are practical, safe and fit for purpose.
