Job summary

Arup’s Cardiff Water team is seeking a Process Engineer to shape design development and optimisation for water and wastewater projects. You will contribute across the project lifecycle, from feasibility through detailed design and commissioning, collaborating with civil, mechanical, electrical and environmental specialists.

Qualifications

• Experience in water and wastewater process engineering.
• Understanding of water treatment processes and the UK water sector.
• Degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Working towards chartership.
• Experience developing process design documents, including mass balances and P&IDs.
• Familiarity with HazOP studies and regulated environments.
• Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Good communication skills and experience working with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to process design on municipal and industrial water projects across the project lifecycle.
• Develop process design documents, including mass balances and P&IDs.
• Engage in HazOP studies and work within regulated environments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of civil, mechanical, electrical and environmental specialists.
• Support delivery of practical, sustainable solutions and low-carbon initiatives.
