Job summary

Almac Group, a global leader in human health services, invites applications for a 12‑month Process Engineer Placement Student in the Sciences unit. The candidate will support the Engineering team with expansion projects, validation, commissioning and operation of plant to cGMP standards.

Open to engineering students, with the 2027/28 placement requirement, and eligibility to work in the UK. The role runs 12 months with a closing date of 01 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Have eligibility to work in the UK OR possess a valid work permit that will allow you to take up full time employment in the UK
• Educated to A Level standard (or equivalent)
• Currently studying an Engineering based Degree or Masters requiring a placement in 2027/2028 as part of their course
• Currently studying for degree in Chemical Engineering
• Previous experience within an engineering function

Process Engineer Placement Student

Open To: Students Currently studying an Engineering/chemical engineering based degree or masters that require a 12 month placement as part of their course.

Contract: This placement will run for 12 months, over the 2027/28 academic year

The Role

The successful candidate will work as part of the Engineering team in assisting the Process Engineering Team Leader and Process Engineers with Sciences engineering expansion projects, validation completion and documentation, commissioning and operation of plant and associated systems to the highest industrial and pharmaceutical standards (cGMP).
