Job summary

INEOS Inovyn in the United Kingdom is seeking a Process Engineer to drive process development, manufacturing improvement and provide technical support for assets at the Runcorn site. The role includes delivering process engineering packages for major projects such as a new salt plant and hydrogen capacity.

Key duties include ensuring SHE compliance, updating safety documentation, and supporting capital and revenue projects with robust design specifications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or higher degree in Chemical Engineering and membership/chartership pathway with IChemE.
  • Strong knowledge of SHE requirements and compliance in chemical plants.
  • Experience in process engineering for manufacturing and project support, preferably in chlor-alkali sector.
  • Proficient with process engineering tools and software (PEL and similar).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse cost/benefit and support budgeting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain understanding of safety and SHE regulatory requirements for the Runcorn site, focusing on COMAH substances.
  • Keep SHE documentation up to date to meet performance standards.
  • Provide process engineering design specifications for capital and revenue projects at Runcorn Site.
  • Deliver second-level troubleshooting support to manufacturing to meet SHE, volume, and cost targets.
  • Monitor plant performance and act to prevent SHE or manufacturing issues.
  • Organise plant trials to improve SHE, OEE, VPC, and fixed-cost performance.
