Job description

About The Role

We are looking for a Foundry Process Technician, with a solid background in a manufacturing and engineering environment. Computer literate, familiar with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Principle Role/Accountabilities:

  • Familiarise yourself with FVC foundry’s current manufacturing processes and in-house database systems.
  • Monitor and review current practises.
  • Take ownership of current process controls, with a view to maximise quality.
  • Maintain, review and update work instructions.
  • Liaise with moulding team to maintain and review current sand/resin testing requirements.
  • Collate data from R&D trials – present to technical and production team.
  • Inspection and despatch of products between Billingham and Sheffield.
  • Internal audits in line with certification requirements
  • Work safely throughout all activities in line with Paralloy LTD safety standards and procedures.
  • Monitor the calibration of machines and equipment in line with approved schedules

Advantageous but non-essential skills/experience:

  • Previous manufacturing and factory experience.
  • An adaptable and flexible attitude to work.
  • Good communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • A good understanding of health & safety, environmental issues and quality rules.
  • Experience of working as part of a team.
  • Foundry experience

Working hours

Working 37hrs per week. 07:30-16:00 Monday-Thursday and 07:30-12:30 Friday.
