Humber Recruitment Ltd in Grimsby is seeking a skilled Process Engineer with experience in food machinery or chemical processing to optimise production processes and ensure safety and quality compliance.

You will design, implement and continuously improve manufacturing processes, support installation and validation of new equipment, and lead Lean/Six Sigma based improvements across functions.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 2–5+ years’ experience in a process engineering role within food manufacturing, food machinery, or chemical processing industries.
• Strong understanding of process design, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and mass balance principles.

Responsabilidades

• Design Process P&ID’s including all instrumentation requirements.
• Analyse process performance and implement improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs.
• Support installation, commissioning, and validation of new machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot process issues and provide technical solutions to maintain production uptime.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations (e.g., HACCP, GMP, ATEX where applicable).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, quality, and R&D.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and technical reports.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies).
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe operation of plant and equipment.
• Support scale-up activities from pilot to full production.
