Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–5+ years in a process engineering role within food manufacturing, food machinery, or chemical processing.
• Strong understanding of process design, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and mass balance.
• Experience with pumps, heat exchangers, mixers, conveyors, or reactors.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, COSHH.
• Proficiency in process analysis tools and software (AutoCAD or similar).

Responsibilities

• Design process P&IDs including instrumentation requirements.
• Analyse process performance and implement improvements to increase efficiency.
• Support installation, commissioning, and validation of new machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot process issues and provide technical solutions to maintain uptime.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations (HACCP, GMP, COSHH).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, quality, and R&D.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and technical reports.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar).
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe operation of plant and equipment.
