Job summary

Jotun Paints (Europe) Ltd in the UK is seeking a process engineer to create and maintain optimised production processes and formulations, ensuring right first time quality and stable throughput time. The role involves supporting operators, updating formulations per Group R&D, and driving improvements on the factory floor.

You will work with maintenance and quality teams to analyse data, reduce waste, and maintain competitive recipes within the regional and global R&D framework.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving, root cause analysis, and process optimisation skills.
• Experience driving continuous improvement to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
• Ability to analyse production and quality data to improve process capability and reduce waste.

Responsibilities

• Create and optimise production processes to ensure correct quality and throughput.
• Update formulations per Group R&D with optimized parameters.
• Coach operators on process optimization and daily improvements.
• Improve recipes to remain competitive within regional/global R&D framework.
• Provide technical support and collaborate with maintenance.
• Investigate deviations and product complaints.
