Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Process Engineer for our automotive client in East London to design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, and cost control.

You will apply Lean, Six Sigma and SPC, work with CAD and process simulation tools, and partner with design, quality and production teams to drive lasting improvements on the shop floor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Process Engineer in automotive manufacturing.
  • Proven expertise in automotive manufacturing processes and systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and SPC methodologies.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and experience with process simulation tools is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement optimized manufacturing processes for automotive components and assemblies.
  • Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to drive continuous improvement and reduce waste.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and SOPs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches and process improvements.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor production performance, analyze data, and identify opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction.

Key Responsibilities
