Qualifications

• Hold a chemical/process engineering degree or HNC.
• Self-motivated, enjoys working in regulated and procedural environments.
• Experience managing complex engineering projects from concept to commissioning.
• Knowledge of risk management, hazard studies, and process risk reviews.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or cosmetic industries with quality standards like cGMP.
• Familiar with industry legislation such as HASAWA 1974, PSSR, DSEAR, and relevant guidance.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate efficiently in complex manufacturing settings.
• Proven track record of leading change.
• Experience in developing and delivering long-term asset plans.
• Ability to manage conflicting deadlines and prioritize effectively.
• Proficient in software such as Excel and CAD.
• Experience in hygienic process design and biotechnology is preferred.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Work within a team of process engineers to ensure optimal site operations.
• Collaborate with technical, operational, and engineering teams to improve safety, operability, and profitability.
• Define project goals, milestones, and deliverables with site leadership.
• Prepare cost estimates and manage capital expenditure requests.
• Provide process engineering expertise in project design, including developing PFDs, P&IDs, and URS.
• Manage project budgets and report performance to senior management.
• Participate in safety reviews for new and existing projects, ensuring risks are managed to ALARP.
• Coordinate with third-party designers and vendors to ensure standards and requirements are met.
• Ensure compliance with project delivery procedures and site management of change processes.
• Serve as a process expert for specific site areas, assisting in root cause analysis, debottlenecking, and troubleshooting.
