Job summary

Eleven in South Yorkshire is seeking a Process Engineer to help turn innovative concepts into safe, scalable and commercially viable processes across development, engineering, operations and customers.

You will design and evaluate process concepts, scale-up, and contribute to techno-economic assessments while collaborating with cross-functional teams. A strong grounding in chemical engineering and experience with process safety are essential.

Qualifications

• BEng/MEng in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in process engineering, process development, plant design or industrial R&D.
• Strong understanding of process design, scale-up and process safety.
• Analytical, pragmatic and comfortable working with emerging technologies.
• Strong communication skills and able to work across technical and commercial teams.
• Experience with hazardous gases/pressure systems, HAZOP/HAZID/LOPA or technology commercialisation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop process concepts, flowsheets, mass and energy balances and process designs.
• Evaluate technology options and recommend the best technical and commercial approach.
• Translate R&D results into scalable industrial processes.
• Support technology scale-up, process safety, commissioning and commercialisation.
• Work with customers and external partners to develop integrated technical solutions.
• Contribute to techno-economic assessments and engineering documentation.
