Job summary

Trelleborg Marine & Infrastructure i Retford söker en erfaren processingenjör med bakgrund i massaproduktion. Rollen innebär ansvar för analys, utformning och optimering av produktionsprocesser.

Du arbetar hands-on och leds av Operations Manager. Fokus på Lean, Six Sigma och kontinuerlig förbättring; dokumentation av SOPs och flödesscheman.

Qualifications

• Krav på högre utbildning inom relevant tekniskt område (ex. maskin-, kemisk- eller industriell teknik).
• 3+ års erfarenhet av en processingenjörsroll i massaproduktion/industriell produktion.
• Starka kunskaper i tillverkningssystem, automation och processtyrning.
• Kunskap i Lean Manufacturing och Six Sigma; certifiering är meriterande.
• Utmärkt analytisk förmåga, problemlösning och kommunikation.

Responsibilities

• Utvärdera och förbättra befintliga tillverkningsprocesser för ökad effektivitet, lägre kostnader och hög kvalitet.
• Utveckla och implementera processförbättringar med Lean, Six Sigma eller liknande verktyg.
• Samarbeta tvärfunktionellt med kvalitet, underhåll, F&E och produktion.
• Skapa och underhålla processdokumentation som SOPs, arbetsinstruktioner och flödesscheman.
• Övervaka produktionens data och KPI:er för att hitta trender och förbättringsområden.
• Stötta införandet av nya produkter och teknologier i tillverkningsprocessen.
• Felsöka processrelaterade problem och genomföra CAPA-åtgärder.
• Säkerställa efterlevnad av säkerhets- och regleringsstandarder.
• Utbilda produktionsteamet i nya processer och utrustning.

About The Job

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Process Engineer with experience in mass manufacturing environments. As a Process Engineer you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure consistent product quality.

This role requires a hands-on approach to problem solving and a strong understanding of manufacturing systems and continuous improvement methodologies. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will assist with designing, implementing, controlling and optimising all processes and machinery within the manufacturing area and will also support the implementation of our Manufacturing Excellence (ME) projects.

About Your Responsibilities

• Evaluate and improve existing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high quality standards
• Develop and implement process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement tools
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Maintenance, R&D, and Production to support operational goals
• Create and maintain process documentation such as SOPs, work instructions, and process flow diagrams
• Monitor and analyze production data and KPIs to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Support the introduction of new products and technologies into the manufacturing process
• Troubleshoot process-related issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• Train production staff on new processes and equipment

What You Bring

• Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in a process engineering role within a mass manufacturing or industrial production environment
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, automation, and process control
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies (certification is a plus)
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Proficiency in CAD software, process simulation tools, and data analysis platforms
• Project Management experience or certification, desirable
