Job summary

Trelleborg Sealing Solutions Tewkesbury is seeking an experienced finance professional to join our Finance team with a strong focus on payroll administration and financial accounting. The role will own key payroll processes and support financial reporting, controls, and compliance.

You will work closely with Finance, HR and operations to ensure payroll accuracy, prepare month-end journals, headcount reports and VAT/corporation tax related activities while seeking opportunities to improve

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll, finance or accounting environments.
• AAT qualification and/or studying ACCA/CIMA or similar.
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency with MS Office.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Trustworthy with confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Own weekly and monthly payroll processing, including Time & Attendance.
• Handle payroll queries and ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare general ledger journals.
• Produce monthly headcount and people-related reports.
• Recharge costs within the Group.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Assist with VAT returns and corporation tax reporting.
• Support monthly and quarterly reporting to Group and audits.
• Identify improvements to payroll and finance processes.

Trelleborg Sealing Solutions Tewkesbury is seeking an experienced finance professional to join our Finance team in a role with a strong focus on payroll administration and financial accounting.

This position would suit an individual who has previous experience working within a payroll, finance, or accounting environment and is looking to further develop their career within a dynamic manufacturing business. The successful candidate will take ownership of key payroll processes while supporting financial reporting, controls, and compliance activities.

Working closely with Finance, HR, and operational teams, you will play a critical role in ensuring payroll accuracy, maintaining financial controls, and supporting the delivery of timely and accurate financial information.

About The Role

• Ownership and completion of weekly and monthly payrolls, including management of the Time & Attendance system.
• Processing payroll-related queries and ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance.
• Completion of associated general ledger journals.
• Production of monthly headcount and people-related reporting.
• Recharging of costs within the Group.
• Performing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances.
• Assisting with the preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns.
• Analysing expenditure for Corporation Tax reporting requirements.
• Supporting the monthly reporting process and submission of results to the Group, including:
• Indirect and Direct Material reporting
• Purchasing and Manufacturing Excellence reporting
• Headbridge reporting
• Sustainability and people data reporting
• Supporting annual stocktakes.
• Assisting with internal and external audits.
• Identifying opportunities to improve payroll and finance processes.

About The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role / relevant field and ideally be AAT qualified and/or actively studying towards ACCA, CIMA or similar. You will also have:

• A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft packages.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to offer a high level of customer service and build strong working relationships with internal customers.
• Ability to retain and not share confidential information.
• Be efficient, proactive, self-motivated, highly organized with good attention to detail.
• Numerical accuracy and understand the importance of confidentiality.
