Job summary

Nicholas Associates in the Midlands seeks a Process Engineer to support Aerospace/Power & Energy manufacturing. You will write SOPs, create data cards and develop new methods of manufacture for NPI.

The role requires experience with machining processes such as EDM, multi-axis laser, welding or hydraulics presses, and you will work with Process and Manufacturing Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Experience writing SOPs and data cards for new product introduction.
• Familiarity with precision manufacturing processes is desirable.

• Hours: Monday to Thursday (7.30am – 4.30pm) Friday (7.30am – 12.30pm) - 39 hours per week

Overview:

With manufacturing facilities located across the UK, we now require a Process Engineer to join the team. You will be part of the Process and Manufacturing Engineering teams with a key focus around creating new methods of manufacture, writing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for new product introduction and data cards.

The ideal candidate / Process Engineer may have some of the following experiences, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

• Previous experience working with any of the following processes - EDM Machining, Multi axis laser, welding or forming metals with hydraulics presses.
• Previously worked as a manufacturing engineer, process engineer, methods engineer, Technical author with a competency to write and define the manufacturing steps and create the technical process data cards
