Job summary

L-ev8 Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Process Engineer in Plymouth, Devon, to join a global manufacturing group focused on continuous improvement and product quality. The role supports manufacturing processes, improves process capability, and reduces waste across the site.

The ideal candidate will have an engineering qualification and experience in a factory environment, with hands-on problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach with Production, Quality and Maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with introduction of new products and equipment to the production line.

Mon – Thurs 8:30am – 5:00pm | Fri 8:30am – 2:30pm

As part of the Engineering team, the company is now seeking a Process Engineer to support the optimisation and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes across the site. Working closely with Production, Quality and Maintenance, you will play a key role in improving process capability, reducing waste, increasing productivity and supporting the introduction of new products and equipment.

This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced Process Engineer or an ambitious Process Technician looking to take the next step in their career. Full support and development will be provided for the right individual.

Skills & Experience Needed:

• Engineering qualification (HNC/HND, Apprenticeship or equivalent) or relevant manufacturing experience.
• Experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
• Experience supporting continuous improvement activities using Lean Manufacturing, TPM, SMED or similar methodologies.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Production, Maintenance and Quality teams.
• Good communication skills with a proactive and hands-on approach.

Desired:

• Previous experience within a moulding, extrusion, injection moulding, blow moulding or rubber manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of process optimisation, validation or root cause analysis.
• Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
