Job summary

Barhale is seeking a Graduate Process Engineer to join the Anglian Water capital investment programme in the East of England. You will gain hands-on experience across major infrastructure projects, supported by senior engineers and opportunities to develop technical knowledge and professional skills.

You will work across Water/Wastewater projects, contributing to design development and ensuring safety and quality standards are met while pursuing a long-term career in process engineering.

Qualifications

• 2:2 degree or above in Beng or Meng/MSc in water/wastewater process science/engineering related subject.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with Alliance teams and the client.
• Maintain interfaces between disciplines to optimise performance.
• Contribute to development of water/wastewater treatment plant designs.
• Support delivery against CDM Regulations and safety standards.
• Participate in a defined stage gate delivery process.
• Assist in delivering technically excellent, safe designs.

Graduate Process Engineer

The Role

At @one Alliance, we bring together eight leading organisations to deliver Anglian Water’s capital investment programme across the East of England. Together, we’re delivering projects to help protect and improve one of the UK’s most important resources - water.

As a Graduate Process Engineer, you’ll be part of this exciting programme from the start, gaining hands-on experience of Process Engineering across major infrastructure projects.

You’ll work alongside experienced Engineering professionals building your knowledge, developing your skills and working towards a successful career in Process Engineering.

You’ll be supported throughout your development, with opportunities to build your technical knowledge, gain professional experience and work towards your longer-term career goals.

We welcome applications from candidates outside the region who are willing and able to relocate or travel to Peterborough and the East Anglia Region.

As part of the recruitment process, you will be required to attend a number of assessment centres taking place on the following dates: 20th November, 11th December, 6th January, 8th January, 11th January, 15th January, and 18th January.

Should you be successful in your application, please ensure that you are available to attend all these dates, as participation in the assessment centres forms an essential part of the selection process.

Key Responsibilities

• Work in an open and collaborative way- practice integrated working with all Alliance teams and the client
• Maintain close links with other Engineers, Project Design Managers and Operations to ensure smooth interfaces between disciplines, manage gaps/overlaps and share best practice to optimise performance
• Embrace the responsibilities of a defined stage gate delivery process - understand its impact on your role, people and processes
• Apply rigour to key projects and tasks that require accurate and timely delivery and decision making
• Contribute to development of solutions and suitable designs of Water/Wastewater Treatment Plants and/or sewerage/water systems that achieve the goals of Anglian Water in terms of customer, environment and efficiency
• Support the team in the drive towards excellence in Health & Safety, demonstrating applied knowledge and skills to produce safe designs to discharge obligation according to CDM Regulations, standards and accepted codes of practice
• Proactively and reactively champion the need to deliver technical excellence ensuring the importance is understood and implemented across projects
• Ensure adherence to safe working practices including completing audits in line with schedule
• Report all near misses through the appropriate channel to prevent future accidentsAbout you

Essential
