Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out daily Process Engineering duties within the production value stream

• Use tools like PFMEA, control plans, SPC, value stream mapping, and process capability studies

• Develop and maintain process maps, SOPs, and improvement plans

• Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, and lean initiatives

• Analyse production data to identify areas for improvement

• Assist in introducing new products and processes, ensuring effective integration into manufacturing

• Provide technical support to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)

• Contribute to internal/external audits, KPIs, and the continuous improvement plan

• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards

Required Skills & Experience:

• Extensive experience in process engineering within a complex manufacturing environment

• Proficiency with engineering tools: SPC, Time-Study (MOST), Yamazumi, SOPs, spaghetti diagrams

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T

• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with lean manufacturing tools (e.g. Single Piece Flow, SMED, 5S, Jidoka)

• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g. Microsoft Project)

• Understanding of APQP, PPAP, Control Plans, and related quality tools

• Background in designing and implementing new processes

Other:

• Full UK driving licence

• Willingness to travel on short notice to suppliers/customers
