Job Title: Process Engineer

Location: On-site – Congleton Manufacturing, Manchester

Siemens' World Class manufacturing facility in Congleton, Cheshire, offers an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and reliable Manufacturing Process Engineer. The successful candidate will be part of a close-knit Engineering team, responsible for the latest technology PCB manufacturing machines & processes. This role involves a variety of tasks and responsibilities, providing daily new challenges. You will report to a Focus Factory Engineering Lead but will have a significant level of self-management, with the freedom to explore innovative methods and equipment.

This site-based role in Congleton involves collaboration with manufacturing support departments and strong ties to sister plants in Germany and China, sharing best practices. The factory is known for its positive team culture and can-do attitude, encouraging growth mindset and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:
  • Support PCB Coating protection machines and Product Identification processes.
  • Maintain contact with suppliers, overseas colleagues, and industry sources for the latest technology and consumables.
  • Drive continuous process and equipment improvements focusing on productivity and quality.
  • Utilize problem-solving tools and techniques.
  • Own and deliver solutions as part of a busy Engineering team.
  • Manage the introduction of new manufacturing equipment from investigation to installation and support.
  • Collaborate in cross-functional projects to implement new technologies.
  • Support lean productivity initiatives, aiming to enhance productivity, equipment performance, and product quality.
  • Prioritize safety and sustainability, ensuring processes and equipment are safe for people and the environment.
Candidate Profile:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field (preferred).
  • Keen to learn and grow professionally.
  • Interest in automation, digitalization, robotics, and innovation.
  • Proactive, ownership-driven, and resilient.
  • Good communication skills and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, Teams, Cyber Security.
  • Experience with Teamcenter is advantageous.
