Project Overview – PMT Scope
This role supports the Zuluf Arabian Medium (AM) Onshore GOSP Expansion Project, which is aimed at expanding processing facilities to directly receive and treat crude oil from offshore platforms, maintaining maximum sustainable capacity as per forecast. The scope includes the addition and upgrade of various key systems such as HPPTs, desanding hydrocyclones, offshore compression, dehydration units, dew point control units, refrigeration, condensate handling, instrument air, and nitrogen systems.
Job Purpose
As a Process Engineer, you will lead and oversee the process engineering scope, ensuring the quality and completeness of all process-related deliverables. The role involves coordination with contractors and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with the project’s technical and execution goals.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and follow up with contractors on process design activities; resolve technical issues impacting engineering progress.
Review and comment on key process deliverables including Design Basis, PFDs, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
Provide process engineering expertise to ensure technical integrity across multidisciplinary activities.
Ensure compliance with the project scope, Saudi Aramco standards, and relevant specifications.
Interface effectively with licensors, vendors, and other third parties as needed.
Participate in process safety activities including HAZOP, LOPA, SIL studies.
Attend 3D model reviews and ensure design alignment with operational and safety requirements.
Contribute to formal design reviews (30%, 60%, 90% stages) and ensure corrective actions are captured.
Identify cost and schedule optimization opportunities.
Support procurement, inspection, and commissioning planning from a process perspective.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Chemical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
10–15 years of experience in large/mega oil & gas projects; at least 3 years with Saudi Aramco projects.
Proven expertise in using process simulation software (HYSYS, PRO II, Flare System Analyzer).
Experience in steady-state and dynamic simulations.
Familiar with process deliverables: H&MB, PFDs, P&IDs, MSDs, LDTs, equipment/instrument selection, and hydraulic calculations.
Knowledge of HTRI/HTFS, tray/packing design, corrosion/material selection, and CFD modeling (preferred).
Familiarity with Aramco's standards and procedures is highly desirable.
Strong command of English and excellent technical documentation skills.
Competent in MS Office and standard process engineering tools.
