Job summary

Centrica is seeking a Process Engineering professional to support its Gas Infrastructure assets, ensuring MAH compliance and technical guidance across onshore and offshore projects.

The role involves regular site travel, collaboration with Engineering, HSE and Projects teams, and adherence to Centrica standards. A strong MAH background and knowledge of PFDs, P&IDs, and industry regulations are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Process and MAH practices and legislation, supported by experience in relevant discipline in Oil & Gas.
• Knowledge of engineering documentation, including PFDs, P&IDs/ELDs, Data Sheets, Cause & Effects, Hazardous Area Classification documentation.
• Knowledge of relevant codes, standards and applicable regulations both statutory and company specific.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with other teams within Centrica
• Good planning and organisation skills.
• Manages own development.

Responsibilities

• Manage and complete assigned technical work.
• Provide Process Engineering support to Centrica Gas Infrastructure assets. This will involve regular travel to the onshore terminal and offshore asset and will also involve overnight stays on the offshore asset in line with operational priorities.
• Provide Process Engineering support and guidance to risk assessments.
• Provide Process Engineering support for modifications / Management of Change (MoC) requests.
• Provide Process Engineering support and guidance to the Engineering team.
• Provide Process Engineering support and guidance to the HSE team.
• Provide Process Engineering support and guidance to the Projects team.
• Compliance with Centrica standards and procedures.
• Complies with relevant industry regulations, standards and guidelines.

Overview

Assists the Process Engineering Technical Authority in delivering Process Engineering activities for Centrica Gas Infrastructure assets.

Provides technical support to projects, asset operations & maintenance and technical compliance activities within discipline.

Location

Woodland House, Hull - flexible working with a mix of office and home working

Key Accountabilities

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

• The job holder must possess knowledge of Process and Major Accident Hazard (MAH) practices and legislation, which would be underpinned by experience in relevant discipline in the Oil & Gas or associated MAH process industries.
• Knowledge of engineering documentation, including block diagrams, PFDs, P&IDs/ELDs, Data Sheets, Cause & Effects, Hazardous Area Classification documentation.
• Knowledge of relevant codes, standards and applicable regulations both statutory and company specific.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with other teams within Centrica
• Good planning and organisation skills.
• Manages own development.
