What you'll be doing

As Process Development Technologist, you will manage manufacturing projects focused on process development and line trials.

• Support the creation of customer and factory specifications, ensuring accurate product labelling.
• Plan, prepare, and execute process development and line trials to meet customer requirements and improve processes.
• Provide process guidance to manufacturing teams to adopt new practices for increased efficiency.
• Monitor process trends, communicate effectively to ensure launch date adherence, and optimize processes.
• Identify and facilitate continuous improvement projects through relevant trials.
• Document all line trial outputs, ensuring compliance with food safety, quality standards, and customer expectations.
• Assess equipment capabilities to align with process standards and drive improvements.
• Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to the Health, Safety and Environment Policy.

What we're looking for

• Ideally hold a degree in food science or a related field, with relevant experience in food manufacturing.
• Possess essential qualifications such as Level 3 Food Hygiene, Level 2 Health and Safety, Level 2 HACCP, Level 2 Sensory Training, and Level 2 Microbiological Training.
• Experience in evaluating shelf-life results and interpreting customer codes of practice.
• Proficiency with various computer programs and analyzing project results.
• Knowledge of legal labelling legislation and retailer web-based systems is desirable.
• Understanding of relevant technology and technical KPIs.
• Skills in GMP, basic hygiene principles, legal labelling, and weight legislation.
