Job Description

A great new opportunity to join a Water sector specialist awarded tier-one framework status with South West Water. My client, a contractor with a company turnover of £200 million, requires a Process Design Engineer to be involved in turnkey clean water projects ranging from £20 million to over £100 million. As a Process Engineer, you will provide high-quality engineering design services to help our client minimize risks and maximize profits on turnkey and engineering service contracts.

Reporting to a Senior Process Engineer, you will coordinate and produce design documents and drawings, considering health and safety requirements, specifications, and standards related to the contract. As a Process Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

1. Producing cost-effective design layouts that meet specifications and can be effectively constructed and commissioned.
2. Ensuring designs comply with environmental, health, and safety requirements.
3. Writing, monitoring, and reviewing procedures and processes to support departmental development.
4. Coordinating designs with internal and external stakeholders.
5. Providing estimates and feedback to the Proposals department.

The ideal candidate will have:

• HND/Degree in relevant engineering discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.
• Significant experience designing process plant systems, preferably within the Water sector.
• Ability to rationalize designs and produce cost-effective plant layouts.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence in presenting technical proposals.

Salary and Benefits:

• £40,000 - £50,000 per annum.
• Attractive benefits package including Life Assurance, Pension, and the option to purchase additional annual leave.
