Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is partnering with Astute's Power Team to recruit a Process Delivery Manager to lead process commissioning and governance across major water infrastructure projects in the UK. The role offers a competitive salary of £80,000-£90,000 depending on experience and provides the opportunity to shape commissioning strategies from design through to operation.

Qualifications

• A relevant engineering qualification such as a BEng, HNC or HND.
• Minimum of five years' experience in Process Commissioning or Design Management.
• Strong technical knowledge of process engineering within water or wastewater treatment.
• Experience developing commissioning strategies, operating plans and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of process testing, sampling, analysis and performance optimisation.
• Experience working with clients, subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of process commissioning strategies and programmes.
• Develop operating plans, start-up methodologies and commissioning programmes.
• Ensure commissioning requirements are integrated into the design phase and project delivery.
• Develop optimisation and testing strategies for performance improvements.
• Provide technical input into process designs, including mass balances and process control philosophies.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency improvements.
• Coordinate commissioning activities and support operational requirements across projects.
• Liaise with client teams, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor progress, manage defects and produce progress reports.
• Maintain commissioning documentation, risk assessments, and method statements.

Job DescriptionAstute's Power Team is partnering with a leading organisation within the water industry to recruit a Process Delivery Manager for its Water Utilities framework. The strategically important Process Delivery Manager role offers a competitive salary of £80,000 - £90,000 , dependent on experience, alongside the opportunity to lead process delivery, technical governance and commissioning across major water infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities and duties of the Process Delivery Manager role

Reporting to the Commissioning Manager you will:

• Lead the development and delivery of process commissioning strategies, including temporary works and resource requirements.
• Develop process operating plans, start-up methodologies and commissioning programmes.
• Ensure commissioning requirements are incorporated into the design phase and aligned with project delivery plans.
• Develop optimisation plans, performance testing requirements and partial-build testing strategies.
• Provide technical input into process designs, including mass balances, process flow diagrams, process control philosophies and process equipment selection.
• Identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency improvements and research and development.
• Manage temporary treatment solutions, over-pumping proposals and operational requirements across existing treatment works.
• Support project teams with change management, risk and opportunity identification, and commercial considerations.
• Liaise with client operational teams, asset supportability engineers, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Coordinate process commissioning, sampling activities and operational support requirements.
• Review process-related asset condition surveys and support the procurement of critical process plant.
• Monitor project progress, manage defects and produce programmes and progress reports.
• Ensure commissioning documentation, inspection and test plans, risk assessments and method statements are maintained.
• Build strong relationships across project teams and support the training and development of process engineering capability.

Professional qualifications

• A relevant engineering qualification, such as a BEng, HNC or HND.
