• Extensive experience leading multiple process mapping and optimisation projects with BPMN 2.0.
• Ability to apply the CMMI framework to assess process maturity, identify gaps and drive improvements.
• Experience leading workshops and stakeholder engagement to capture requirements and define solutions.
• Strong analytical skills to identify inefficiencies, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Experience interpreting process data and KPIs to inform decisions and improvements.
• Ability to produce clear, structured documentation (process maps, SOPs, artefacts).
• Awareness of automation and digitisation opportunities within processes, with ARIS tooling experience.

Role Overview for the Process Automation Engineer/Process Analyst - this is not a BA role:

Essential Skills & Experience for the Process Automation Engineer/Process Analyst:

• Process mapping is a core part of this role. You'll need substantial experience leading and delivering multiple process mapping and optimisation projects, with strong BPMN 2.0 expertise and the ability to map complex end-to-end business processes.
• Experience applying the CMMI framework to assess process maturity, identify gaps and support structured processes, improvements & initiatives.
• Ability to support or lead process discovery, workshops, and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Experience interpreting process data, KPIs, and operational performance.
• Ability to produce clear, structured documentation (process maps, SOPs, artefacts).
• Awareness of automation and digitisation opportunities within processes.
• Experience with process mapping tools (ARIS).

Desirable Skills & Experience for the Process Automation Engineer/Process Analyst:

• Lean Six Sigma (Yellow/Green/Black Belt).
• BCS or IIBA Business Analysis qualifications.
• Experience coaching or supporting Junior Analysts.
• Exposure to automation tools (Power Automate, RPA, Alteryx).
• Understanding of regulated environments and compliance requirements.
• Interest in process optimisation, digital transformation, and automation.
