Job summary
Wolviston Management Services, in partnership with Tioxide, seeks a Process Automation Engineer for their Greatham site. You will support design, assessment and implementation of process control changes across DCS and PLC systems, collaborating with technical teams and external software developers to support capital projects and improvements.
You will develop control sequences, test software changes, and ensure modifications are robust, documented and approved before going live, while providing
Qualifications
- Degree in engineering or related discipline required.
- Experience in control system environments, ideally 24/7 industrial setting.
- DCS programming experience and exposure to PLC protocols.
- Experience supporting control system changes and commissioning projects.
- Strong collaborative skills across technical and project teams.
- Commitment to safety, compliance and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise for proposed DCS/PLC changes.
- Develop control scope documentation for FEED studies.
- Support third‑party software developers on projects.
- Carry out FAT and on‑site commissioning of software and control functions.
- Develop new control sequences and alarms per specs.
- Ensure changes are tested, documented and approved per site standards.
- Support implementation of the control system improvement plan.
- Provide breakdown support to control system users, including out‑of‑hours support.
- Collaborate with site technical, engineering and project teams.
- Promote a safety‑x‑compliance, high‑performance culture.
