The School of Law and Justice Studies within the Faculty of Society and Culture is looking to appoint an Academic Programme Tutor on a permanent basis, to support the delivery of the Probation Practitioner Apprenticeship Programme.

As an Academic Programme Tutor, you will be required to contribute to the academic delivery and assessment of this professional programme. You will be involved in developing high-quality teaching, learning and assessment materials. You will also be required to support and coach probation colleagues on their apprenticeship, alongside working with key stakeholders, integrating academic study with the specific responsibilities of the apprentices' work role.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and creative individual who is committed to the pursuit of excellence in probation teaching and practice. You should have experience of teaching and learning activities within Higher Education and/or the workplace as well as being able to demonstrate an understanding of the requirements of an apprenticeship and apprenticeship standards. It is desirable to have a post graduate degree in criminal justice, or cognate area and/or significant probation operational experience.

This role will require regular travel to a range of geographical areas, to deliver workshops, to support successful qualification. The regions to be covered are: East and West Midlands, North East, Yorkshire and the Humber, North West and Greater Manchester. As such, you will be required to travel as part of this role.
