Job summary

Forward Trust is recruiting for a Supporting People on Probation Navigator in Norwich. You will provide one-to-one and group support to adults on probation, helping them understand and improve wellbeing, relationships, and life choices within sentence conditions.

Role emphasizes empathy, reliable attendance, and collaboration with Probation Practitioners. DBS checks apply and practical travel between venues may be required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates empathy and non-judgemental support to Service Users.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to build trusting relationships and maintain accurate records.
• Willing to learn and engage with training and support.
• Travel between venues is desirable due to multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Support adults on probation to make positive, lasting changes in their lives.
• Build trusting and supportive relationships with Service Users.
• Help Service Users understand lifestyle, wellbeing and factors impacting offending.
• Assist in moving away from risky relationships and situations.
• Help Service Users build positive relationships with family and others.
• Agree Action Plans with Service Users and Probation Practitioners.
• Deliver 1:1 support sessions and group interventions.
• Support people before and after release from prison.
• Work with Probation Practitioners and other professionals.
• Ensure services are delivered safely and recorded accurately.
