Keys Group is seeking an experienced Caretaker for Park House School in Barnsley. The role involves maintaining a safe environment for vulnerable learners and supporting service delivery with a proactive approach.

You will perform multi‑skill maintenance tasks, manage contractors, and implement a rolling decoration program during school holidays. A strong independent work ethic and organisational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a caretaker or maintenance operative.
• Ability to carry out range of maintenance tasks including carpentry and decorating.
• Proactive, organised and able to work with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Undertake and record regular checks on fire alarm systems and emergency equipment.
• Carry out maintenance duties as directed by Head Teacher (carpentry, plumbing, decorating).
• Create and manage decoration program during holidays.
• Manage contractors on site and monitor safety/quality of work.
• General grounds maintenance including grass cutting and hedge trimming.
