Job summary

Safran Helicopter Engines in Fareham, UK is seeking a proactive General Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities & Maintenance team. This hands-on role covers production equipment, buildings, and site infrastructure to keep operations safe, compliant and fully functional.

You will perform routine inspections, respond to issues, support planned maintenance, and coordinate contractors, gaining exposure to electrical, mechanical, and building maintenance while collaborating with experienced

Qualifications

Prior experience in a maintenance engineering environment, preferably manufacturing or production.
Multi-skilled maintenance knowledge with exposure to mechanical and electrical systems.
Proactive problem-solving mindset and ownership of maintenance activities.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Carry out daily inspections and basic maintenance on production machinery and site equipment.
Support planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities across the site.
Respond to reactive maintenance requests and perform repairs as required.
Perform general building maintenance including doors, walls, floors, fixtures, fittings, and basic plumbing.
