Job summary

Hamworthy Primary Federation is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team on a fixed-term basis until 31 August 2027. The role may involve working across the Federation (Nursery – Year 6) and will be discussed at interview based on school needs.

You will support pupils under the direction of the Class teacher, SENCO/Inclusion Leader and SLT, with a positive, caring approach and a commitment to inclusion and high pupil outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young children.
• Commitment to inclusive education.
• Willingness to work under direction of Class teacher, SENCO/Inclusion Leader & SLT.
• Ability to provide high-quality support for pupils.

Responsibilities

• Assist class teacher with daily teaching activities.
• Support pupils with learning tasks and behaviour in a calm, caring manner.
• Work across the Federation (Nursery–Year 6) as needed.
• Contribute to a supportive, dynamic team and contribute to safeguarding.
