Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a confident Cover Supervisor for a supportive secondary school in Nottingham on a flexible, long-term, or day-to-day basis.

You will lead whole-class lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4, deliver pre-set work, manage behaviour, and provide clear feedback to teaching staff. The role suits someone with experience as a Cover Supervisor/HLTA and a degree or relevant qualifications, with a commitment to pupil wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience as Cover Supervisor, HLTA, coach, or youth mentor with secondary pupils.
• Strong behaviour management and rapport-building skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Degree-educated or holding relevant educational qualifications.
• Reliable to commute to Nottingham partner school.

Responsibilities

• Lead whole-class lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4 in the absence of the timetabled teacher.
• Deliver pre-set work, managing classroom behaviour effectively, and keeping pupils focused and engaged.
• Provide clear, comprehensive handover feedback to regular teaching staff at the end of each session.
• Collaborate with departmental heads and pastoral teams in Nottingham.
